Rather than the feeling of sorrow, he tries to focus on that feeling from earlier - the fury he has toward the prism, toward the people who messed it up in the first place, the unfairness of it all - as he brings his greatsword up in an attempt to block this creature's teeth. Clearly, they're going to have to take this thing out before it takes them out...
