...Grievances is a word. [...] Sad is... a normal reaction to someone you liked being murdered, or somebody else you liked turning into a goat abomination. I try not to dwell on things that can't be changed, but trying not to be sad about it is exactly how you make it worse.
Should be obvious to many, but it is not, so I find it sage… A number of us could allow ourselves to feel. Were you close to either Malik or Chinatsu-chan?
[they don't seem too bothered by it; sadness is just a natural part of coping with death.]
Close is hard to measure. But just before, Chinatsu and I had a pretty nice conversation about our families; her brothers and sister. That sort of tugs at my heartstrings. [...] Malik came to see me quite a bit. He had a lot of struggles. I think he mostly needed someone to talk to.
More than anything, it's harder when the life cut short belonged to a child.
Aye, it is. I've seen many children raised and fight in war, but it does not become easier. [ ... ] Chinatsu-chan did her best to be strong and she was resourceful. It saddens me to see her gone, Malik as well though I knew not much of him. What I do know is that they are missed.
[ He feels with Shale he can be more forward, so. ]
I had asked because there is a pinch of loneliness in this space we share.
Sometimes, loneliness cannot be remedied by company, but I hope it assuages some. [ :thonk: ] The Prism has been accommodating. Never have I seen a wall of dairy or so much... Bread.
[ He tries to lighten this up, but like. Legitimately... He is in awe by the bread. ]
... Crow and I had talked of vendors for food one Sunday, where he shared with me the concept of "grocery stores." Then the following sunrise we received it. I'm sure it must have been on the mind of many others, but still. 'Twas a surprise.
'Tis creative and endearing, in my honest opinion. [ ... ] Speaking of which, there was a loaf I saw in the grocery store... Inside was the visage of a blue monster alike to the one from my star, a blue monster who steals cookies and strikes fear in all children across the realm.
That sounds dangerous. If there's bread that might be dangerous to children, that's good to know. We can keep an eye out, especially if there are any cookies around.

[well, they are a little uncomfortable talking about serious things about themselves, and they feel it now.]
...Maybe. So much has been changing around here. It's a strange feeling.

I've never seen a wall of bread before, either. Where'd it even come from?

There exists bread I could have never imagined.
