[once she goes looking for the jade archway, it will appear before her. stepping through feels like stepping into a soothing landscape painting. the atmosphere goes grey, but rather than the monochrome of other areas, it's the mist of morning fog, still hanging low in the air. her feet touch down onto dirt and grass. she is standing in a quaint country garden. there are tall, dark green trees all around and rolling hills far away, but in the immediate vicinity is a flat, empty area with a few fenced in garden patches. the fenced in area in front of her looks to be a tidy herb and vegetable garden patch. there's a small shed towards the back of the garden, and gardening tools are scattered about.
in the distance she can see a pond and across the pond, far away, a small cottage with smoke billowing from the chimney. there are a few stone statues scattered about the garden, but after a moment, she will notice that one of them in particular is waving.]
[ The funny thing is that Roxana does find the most peace and calm in gardens. The horrible thing is that usually, any plant she touches with bare skin that isn't also poisonous will inevitably die. The weirdest thing for her in the prism is finding out that isn't true here.
It won't take too long for her to notice the wave. She makes her way over to them. ]
Greetings, Shale, is it? [ Contact cards are so neat. ] I'm glad to come. Is all this yours? It's lovely, peaceful.
as she steps through the quartz arch, she will find herself standing in a traditional Japanese-style room - tatami mats on the floor, and sliding paper doors on every side. there are no windows, or even decorations on the walls. it's dim in here, lit only by low candles and shadows crawling out of every corner. it's very, very silent.
No one seems to be around?
Oh but there's a kotatsu in the middle of the room now. shit happens. ]
[ The room is incredibly dark on the other side, and then - movement. Gargantuan scales sliding in the shadows, that pink color flashing slightly between them. ]
["Yeah. Weirdly, some of them don't even think they were being rude at all."]
not sure what there is to say anymore someone wandered into my house w/o warning to try and tell me why the convo this morning made sense and sunday still doesnt totally feel real but we have to keep going
when she walks in, it's to a hallway. immediately on her right is a tiny, tiny kitchen, mostly just pressed into an indent against the wall. there's a fridge, some cabinets, a microwave on top of the fridge, and a sink. to the left is what looks like a bathroom. and just past that is an open sliding door that leads into... a bedroom! there's a bed pushed up against the wall, as well as a tv cabinet with a bunch of game consoles jammed into it. a bookcase with a bunch of books and manga hangs out near the bed, a comfy chair sits next to that, and blurry, colorful posters litter any free space there is. there's a full wall ceiling to floor window next to the bed that is mostly covered by a curtain. the sun peeks out from behind it.
bass is sitting on the floor in front of the tv, playing a game, but they pause and look over at her. they're a very solid shape, today, medium height, gangly, with a mop of hair.]
[re: Do you have a moment to meet me at the cafe?]
yes ill see you there
[as promised, he will enter the cafe a few moments later whether roxana's already there or not. but it's fine, he can be patient if he beat her there.]
[she can come on by! shale's archway is now a grove surrounded with tall, tall trees, whose canopies hang overhead, shrouding the place in a greenish-gray mist. a path leads towards the garden area, the gazebo, down the path is a very cozy looking cottage, made of stone and shaped with a steeple. colorful lanterns light up the path approaching the cottage, giving off a cozy glow.
the garden itself is quite different than it was before. there are a few separate patches - vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit bushes, including an area of flowers and bushes protected by the canopy where glittering colorful butterflies flutter about. towards the back of the garden is an orchard of fruit-bearing trees. a hammock is strung between two blossoming trees. there is also a garden shed and a beetle habitat set up near the orchard.
the gazebo is next to a small pond, shaded by the canopy. lights also guide your way down the path to it. it is quite lovely, with a table meant for tea parties in the center of it, protected by a parasol, and a blanket spread out for picnics nearby. near the gazebo is a particularly tall tree, strung with lights from the branches, at the base of which is a small shrine with a crook and wreath symbol.
She takes a little time to take in taking in Shale's new archway. It is somehow much more put together than she thought it'd be from the planning she overheard, but maybe that is the power of friendship at work. She gravitates towards some of the the flowers before she makes her way to the butterfly gardens.

If the atmosphere is silent and no one seems to be around, Roxana is quiet as she approaches the kotatsu and takes a seat at it.
She'll wait, if Steel isn't around or isn't ready for a visitor yet. ]
