Another two circle around Prompto, chanting "DOKKOISHO, DOKKOISHO!" and clapping their hands aggressively. Perhaps they're waiting for him to finish the chant?
One approaches Aymeric, pulling a set of taiko bachi sticks from the inside of her coat with dramatic flair.
"I'll show you how it's done, whippersnapper!"
This is such a passionate granny... She drums out a sick beat on the other side of the standing drum and yells out a loud SORAN!! at the end, waiting to see what Aymeric's response will be.]
Yeah. Aymeric is flummoxed by fans getting on the stage. He's sure that isn't allowed, but he doesn't have the heart to tell off this granny who's trying to show him the ropes. The sticks keep drumming, though his expression is just. CONFUSiON. ]

Though Meteion's approval ratings feel like they've slipped behind Aymeric's, it seems she has at least earned the respect of the elderly.

No they're not but they are absolutely satisfied with Aymeric finally throwing his hat into the ring. Congrats! As they play out the last parts of their festival song, a burst of verdant confetti explodes over Aymeric's head, showering down onto him. The announcer's booming voice calls out:]
"A win for North! Looks like we've finally answered that age-old question of who has the best festival spirit, huh?"
[Meteion's granny pats her shoulder, and she will get the sense that if this granny had a face, she would be beaming proudly. Her sword also feels very proud of her! Good work, team! Though at the same time, there's a bit of a sense of urgency from their swords, now. Something important is supposed to happen soon, right...?
Prompto's grannies will stop playing tug of war with him after Aymeric wins, walking off the stage with aggravated grumbles about how their team never makes it to the top. As for Aymeric's granny, she simply gives the drum one last good whack, nods in approval at him, and then slowly disperses into nothingness like Mufasa's cloud ghost.
They won't get much time to consider all of that, though! In the next moment, the audience begins to shift again, the invisible conveyor belt carrying the now-whooping (or grumbling) grannies out and pulling a new audience in from the left. They'll find the floats and fans vanishing, too. (The confetti stays, unfortunately for Aymeric.) On the stage before them, there are three unlit candles.

They're held in candlesticks, though: the kind with a loop for a finger to go through, should anyone choose to pick them up and carry them. The sword at her side is radiating a quieter vibe this time - same with Prompto's - as though they're in the presence of something to be respected.
A different voice speaks out this time, and it sounds more like a whisper cutting through them than the booming, attention-grabbing voice of the announcer from before.]
"One, two, three burning flames... Four, five, six fading flames... Gloomy stories told on the night of a new moon. An inescapable veil surrounding us until morning... It's a mysterious story. Now, let's begin this tale."
[The lights blasting the stage begin to dim until it's almost dark, and they'll be able to see flickering shapes in the audience. Balls of blue flame, ghostly faces, and the outline of figures made out of translucent shadows in several shapes and sizes, some humanoid and some not.
From above, a few sheets of paper drop down and flutter gracefully to the stage below.]
[ Unless that is what Prompto wanted? Longer arms? Aymeric merely pats him and gives appreciation vibes for brushing some of the green confetti off of him. He's about to call out to Meteion until the darkness truly sets.
His eyes strain, worry growing again, and tries to keep her in his sights while helping Prompto along. ]

[ He catches one of the papers with a free hand. What's this? ]
[ She'll carry one, at the very least. Curious and more focused on the sword emanating those feelings. though, as it darkens she'll start to take a step closer to Aymeric and Prompto. no real sense of fear yet, but a tad wary of the flickering shapes.
she looks up at the falling paper. it's not raining men.... but paper... ]
[As Meteion and Prompto pick up their candles, the flames ignite on their own, casting a faint and warm glow. Prompto's sword seems perfectly ready to be drawn and slash if need be, but there's something about it that feels very familiar with this sort of setting, all the same. It doesn't seem bothered by the supposed ghosts at all.
Aymeric catches one of the pieces of paper, and as he looks it over, he'll find this.]
[ Aymeric takes the last candle so he can better read the paper, but if not he can huddle closer to the other two so he can catch this new script. The simmering confusion continues, but there's an underlying emotion. It's hard to pick out for now... But maybe it's just another layer of confusion, let's be real. ]
[The piece of paper Prompto picks up simply says: The enemy is approaching Goryokaku. See you soon. Hm.
