[smiling after stabbing someone is a kelsier mood so she's not surprised by this at all!! but. she still has her weapons in case some of these knights try to rush them, but she would prefer not to murder even fake cyoa people, so she's tugging at his sleeve instead.]

...We should leave for now. We can regroup later and attack when they don't expect it.

[unfortunately she knows him and knows that "or maybe we just don't murder anyone" will not work for him. very funny that kashuu just got soft or heroic memories of him and doesn't know that he's actually terrifying and a horrible influence. i typed this right as hei rolled a seventeen and i'm frightened now especially since i rolled a one on this persuasion check help

she's glancing kashuu's way, trying to silently impart that he should cause some kind of distraction so they can all get away.........

[HE HATES ALL OF THIS but at least Aymeric is being rushed away to get help. He rolls a 3 for persuasion which is definitely not going to do much at all when he's like:]

Ooohkay, let's just! Like! Take a step back here and maybe not start a giant fight before we're supposed to go into battle with a bunch of dragons, HELLO!!

[But it's okay he will start a scene for distraction even if he doesn't mean to entirely because his voice is just getting louder and more hysterical as he stands there with his blood-covered hands from trying to keep Aymeric from bleeding out as he JUST KEEPS YELLING.]

WHY CAN NO ONE HERE BE NORMAL FOR EVEN TEN SECONDS LITERALLY WHO HAS THE TIME TO START A SECOND STUPID WAR IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR THAT'S ALREADY HAPPENING WHEN LITERALLY NONE OF THIS EVEN MATTERS—!! WHERE'S ANYONE'S BRAINCELL!!!! I HATE ALL OF YOU!!!!

[He rolled a 6 for distraction effectiveness but it's okay because he's immediately just starting to blast snowflake magic all over the place at random about it.]

There is just a silence as almost everyone stares at Kashuu, Kelsier included. ]

[ Kelsier, however, with his high aggro roll, is not persuaded to escape. Sorry Vin, your 1... He smiles a knowing smile, knowing what he will say is going to devastate the masses. ]

The reason any of you are in this god forsaken war is because of nobles! [ Oh, No. Because the people rolled a 4, the knights haven't immediately attacked. ] Your founding four noble houses were part of the brigade who killed Ratatoskr, brood-sister to the great wyrms, and this war is all but a hopeless bloodbath! They have been hiding it all this time!

[ this is so sweaty. Vin and Kashuu can just feel the cutthroat tension that is rising. This was supposed to be a short little cool thing but now it's FULL BLOWN BAD. ]

she looks over at him as he blasts snowflake magic everywhere, and with her roll, decides not to be incredibly stupid as the tension rises as he points out how ridiculous this is!! especially as kelsier starts speaking and makes it abundantly clear he isn't her kelsier, a fact she already knew but was actively not thinking about.

while she'll tug on his sleeve again as she goes so she doesn't just abandon him in the middle of this slowly escalating altercation, she's running towards kashuu. the time to flee... has come. to the knights, though:]

I am sorry, and so is he! Kelsier, don't hurt them!

[HE'S REALLY JUST THIS RIGHT NOW. HE'S HYSTERICAL. HE'S LOST IT. HE'S SNAPPED. He's sorry to Aymeric's distant voice as he just has to sit through watching this all happen.

But at least Vin's making the smart choice and running his way instead of waiting to fight off a bunch of knights about it. He'll immediately reach out for her hand as she heads over, and whenever he grabs it, he's going to make a dash AWAAAY with an 11 roll for fighting if need be and a 13 roll for speed which means they will probably run into some trouble but it's fine,,,

He will also just shout one last resounding nugget of wisdom for everyone else as he goes:]

ALL WARS ARE POINTLESS AND STUPID, IT'S THE NATURE OF PEOPLE AND FIGHTING—!!

Anyway, unless Vin deems it fit to go anywhere else, he's going to nyoom toward the transport crystal thing, though he's also keeping an eye on Aymeric because he is absolutely considering kidnapping him away from this madness in their attempt to dip.]

[ The snowflake was very pretty, Kashuu. It got everyone's attention earlier, but. Yeah.

Whispers... with a 16, the people are unsettled. That's an understatement, really, as there's panic that runs through the crowd. The inquisitors are arriving as well, swift and fast so there are even more knights. While the initial knights are confused because Lucia had seemed to look at Vin and Kashuu with trusting eyes earlier, the inquisitors are not so soft. They don't know the lore.

The leading inquisitor yells: ]

They... Speak lies! [ YEAH! ] HERETICS!! ARREST THEM!

[ With all efforts and numbers, they will catch Vin, Kashuu, and Kelsier before they reach the aetheryte... Unfortunately, as they're separated, Vin will witness her mentor spit manic and blasphemous words, crazed... Then turn into one of those colorful Lisa Frank beasts from the Prism. She does not get the comfort to know what is done with him. This scene will stay with her.

The familiar voice again: "hope and desperation are separated by a fine line..."

I MUST FLEE SOON, but i will leave you with a new experience here. ]
