As she steps through the quartz arch, she will find herself standing in a traditional Japanese-style room - tatami mats on the floor, and sliding paper doors on every side. there are no windows, or even decorations on the walls. it's dim in here, lit only by low candles and shadows crawling out of every corner. So, yeah, like. Kinda desolate. It sucks a bit. It's fine.
Steel's form today is shadowed - tall and humanoid, but faceless and dark. This time, two sharp, tall horns sit on their head. They are Observing the chair carefully. ]
I am not sure what to envision. It is such a simple matter. I have created far more complex things in my lifetime. It should really be a simple matter, compared to a life-like automaton or a forged weapon, but no. I am continually failing at it.
Is it not comfortable? Perhaps the point is that it is not so comfortable that others are invited to stay for overlong, but comfortable enough they do not feel disquieted when speaking to me.

There is a chair!
It. It doesn't ... look comfortable.

Hm. It is not quite what I was envisioning.

[It.]
[It sure is a chair.]
...I see. [Hm. She touches it, glancing up at them. Huh, metal.] What were you envisioning?

Maybe you just never experienced something like this before?

[that isn't what hot pants meant. ]

Comfortable chairs. Like chairs with pillows and such. We even have some in the apartments.
no subject
[ god. steel is just the worst. ]
Comfort is not something I seek. Especially here. There is no body that requires relaxation.

[i l*ve steel]
Have you been to any of the apartments? You should. They have examples of better chairs there.
no subject
It is the only one I have seen.

[ they seem kind of happy to be invited, actually. that's nice. ]
I would look forward to seeing it.

[And finally, finally....she moves to sit.]

[.....]
[..........]
Yeah, not exactly the best, but. It's usable.
no subject
Hm.
I see.

That has not stopped some of you.
[ MARCELINE. ]
no subject
How did you deal with that?
no subject
Well, I've little choice? I let them.
[ wow. not so tough after all. ]

[SOFTIE???]
no subject
[softie.]
Did you require anything? For your assistance with the chair.
no subject
[CALLING THEM OUT]
Hm. [Hm.] A scarf.
[She knows there's the infinity closet and everything, but this is the first thing that comes to mind.]
Also, a tip. Put a cushion on this chair if you want to keep it but make it more comfortable.
no subject
A scarf ... ?
Alright. Let me think.
[ After a moment, a silk scarf appears, and they offer it out. ]
Will this do?
no subject
[Oh.]
[She takes it, looking it over....and that may be a vague sort of smile on her face.]
Stick with this over chairs. You're much more creative with this.
