Even without war, I can’t see my path being any other. Becoming a knight was my display of fealty and love to Ishgard and all she protects, though I had every intention on changing her foundations—for she and her people can be better. To desire and pursue reform, I needed a station of influence. However, I had the mind that when Ishgard was steered onto the right path, I can set the mantle down. I had, but then the people placed the seat of Lord Speaker into my hands.

I was most fortunate, for my foster parents gave me their family name… But he was forced to take upon “Greystone” to bespeak his origins.
