[You open your eyes and find yourselves someplace new.
You are standing in a fenced in area near a massive arena, made of twisted metal that forms a colossal dome. The ground you’re standing on is a dirty pale gray, and it kicks up dust as you walk, a chalky dust that covers everything around you. The arena is also gray with dust, most things appear to have been made out of pieces of slightly rusted sheet metal, but it’s hard to tell because it’s splattered in various neon colored paints and designs. The sky above you is a swirling, unnatural whirl of colors, like paint being spilled. There’s a cloudy gray, but neon colored clouds swirl within. The arena is surrounded by stands, which are crowded with inhuman faces, gnashing teeth and spiky outfits. They’re far away, but you can make out a crowd of colorful monsters and demons, all brightly neon colored and cheering for blood.
In the arena at present, two groups of three demons are fighting each other. You watch as a red demon summons a barrage of scarlet colored missiles, which strike a yellow demon holding a mace, sending them bleeding on the ground. A purple demon plays a harpsichord constructed from metal pipes, and the green demon by her side appears to grow larger in size and summons a green hail. One team is victorious, and the crowd cheers and hollers as they finish off the losing team. The green member of the victorious team doesn’t seem to want to finish off the yellow demon, however, and she is dragged off by enormous metallic guards and put to death as well.

[ Well, this is disorienting. You'd think that Garou would be used to being whisked away to another dimension(?), but honestly it takes him a second to get his bearings, glancing around the space tense and irritated.
Though maybe the others won't recognize him at first! Not because he's only in pants and a harness, but because he's got a mask on, which he doesn't love, but he keeps on for the moment. ]
Can't say I'm not excited to finally get a good fight, but first: what the fuck?
[ He glances into the arena, trying to get a sense of who their opponents are going to be. ]
[ Marceline is getting a sense of deja vu with waking up in a new, weird grey place, and at first she's looking up at the swirl of colors in the sky instead of the gladiators or her companions. It is reflexive to check for sun for her. Luckily her outfit covers most of her so it wouldn't be a major problem anyway. For some reason the skulls are also part of it and there are a bunch next to her. It's aesthetic.
Once she's done checking that and hears the announcement, she turns to see who's with her. Garou she has to recognize by voice when he speaks up since he is wearing his weird little bdsm outfit, but at least he can fight? So that's good. She looks at Kumon next and she.
[He looks around with a sense of "I don't know a singular thing that just happened, but I'm here now I guess?" Demons? Battles? What? He's in an outfit he recognizes but he's never personally worn before.]

You instinctively seem to know what type of skill (speed, strength, intelligence, charisma, wisdom) will work best with each weapon. The second chest contains spray cans in a variety of colors. You may pick one. You don’t know what these do, but you know that if you spray them onto your teeth, something will happen.
Choose your weapons: bat with nails innit (strength), chainsaw with blades on both ends (strength), throwing knives made out of broken glass and sheet weapons (dex), taser (dex), cool guitar (cha), glock (wis), or Magic Book but it’s actually a Blu-ray DVD case of M*d M*x: F*ry Road (int).

I think this is just a dungeon. [ which is logical in adventure time and nowhere else. marceline has to pick the guitar because of this, and also because it's just a super cool guitar and she likes those. also her charisma stat. ] A weird prism one that's beaming knowledge into our skulls and saying I should spray paint on my teeth.

Enough to make you cough as the metal gates creak open with an ominous groan of metal. You are free to walk into the arena. More than free, actually, there’s a few demons around you that are pushing and shoving you in so they can quickly close the gate behind you again.
On the other side, an equally rusty gate opens and steps a group of four, all looking equally as homoerotic and menacing as yourselves right now: a man in a cloak of leather straps, cracking his knuckles as he walks in. A younger looking woman with dark hair and a terrifying oni mask, holding a massive book, the spine lined with spikes. A half-man, half-dinosaur, long bright blue tail sweeping as he sniffs the air for fresh blood, claws at the ready. Lastly, a guy on a fucking horse gallops into the arena. Straight for all of you?
In the chaos, you might almost miss as the booming voice once more shouts:
[ At least their objective is clear, even if there's absolutely no indication of why they're here or how they're going to get out. Maybe this is just the next stage in their weird journey? Whatever it is, Garou goes immediately tense at seeing Clarte, Bubblegum and Kazunari. ]

[ Well, no time to think since Prince Charming is coming at them. He shoves his paint can in the pocket of his cargo pants, and offers just a quick word to Kumon, ] Don't get too eager. He actually has no idea if Marceline can fight, but she's some sort of... creature, right? So probably? ]
[ marceline turns back to hiss at the demons pushing them forward in a very useful move, but she's quickly distracted by the people currently taken hostage. or well. one in particular. ]

[ i am incredibly sorry to kumon who is being left behind completely as she rushes forward. she does a sweet knee slide to dodge the guy on the horse while he's distracted by garou's chainsaw before she continues running! where is she going!
it does not matter because she reaches the next person in line trying to murder them, which would be leather cloak man, and she without hesitation plays a SWEET TUNE on her sick guitar axe and uses a fire damage spell straight for his face. she has the coolest weapon. ]

[Okay well, they are being pushed out into the arena, and he's not a big fan of that. He's even less of a fan of seeing Kazu being dragged out and apparently limp?

Because that's what happens. Garou chainsaws the legs right off that horse in a huge spray of blood to a defeaning roar from the crowd. The body of the horse keeps going with the momentum, sending the rider to the ground in a crashing heap of dust and ... whinnying. From the legless horse. What the fuck you guys. The rider is quite mad that you've Done This to his horse, rolling over where he's splayed on the ground and firing ... bullets? Out of his hands. They'll zip right by Garou, missing him, but a few will graze along Kumon's arm and shoulder right after he throws his knives - impaling them into the man with a sickening thunk. He looks pretty close to death now.
Marcy, distracted by gay feelings though, tries to aim at the man in the leather cape - who raises his hands and summons flashes of light around himself, preparing a spell. Before she shoots fire off ... directly at herself. Hey, dummy? Aim it at the enemy? It'll hurt kinda bad. I guess I'll let you decide how much hair she has left.
The dino-man is still stalking the edges of the arena, but after a calculating look, starts making a running dash towards Marcy, with his claws out. The girl with the book stays further back - rapidly flipping through pages until she finds what she's looking for. Energy glows around the rider on the ground, and his wounds start to close, leaving him looking much less close to death.
The horse is pretty much still dead though. So good job on that.]
[ I'm sorry, I didn't want to hurt the horse but sometimes it be like that!!
And unfortunately, Garou is feeling really good after forking up that horse and managing to evade the bullets that come his way. Evidently, Kumon can handle himself better than Marceline, so he stops worry about him too. You're on your own now, pretty boy. ]

His attention whips to the mage, and he takes off toward her. It probably would've been better to let Kumon handle the mage while he went after dino-man but he's bad at team work, so here we go! He will launch himself into a jump so that he can bring the chainsaw down on the local nerd.

[So much is happening so quickly. At least Marcy remembers stop drop and roll! Too bad they don't have any water to throw onto her. (Distantly he thinks "weren't vampires weak to fire?")
There's not much time to think, but Garou seems to have it handled with the spell caster, and the dino-man is going to Marcy. It makes sense to throw the knives at him, and maybe stop him from making her have an even worse time?
[ Well between Garou's 20 and Kumon's 1, yeah, shit is just gonna happening quickly here.
First up: Garou. With the two twenties in a roll, Garou, terrifying, covered in horseblood and wielding a whirring chainsaw, turns towards the mage with the book. Just before she's hit, she tosses the book with all her surprisingly considerable strength right towards Kumon. The chainsaw rips its way into her shoulder and across her body ... bisecting her with another bloody gush. Right before she falls into two piece, she snarls out a 'You binch!' at him. Garou kill count: one horse, one girl.
Marcy! You did good. Good job healing there. You feel so much better. Back to full health! Just in time for the Dinoman to leap onto you and start scratching with his claws all over her body. She'll get a chance to defend herself here, because the mage in the leather cape is ... also firing darts of bright magic right at her, sizzling and burning as they zing over her skin. Ouchie wouchie.
Kumon. Honey.
You get hit with that flung book. It's enormous, and also. Covered in spikes. It hits spine first, sending inches long spikes into his front and gut. It, uh. Hurts. If he were a guessing man, he might feel like he has about half of his ... hit points. Left.
At least until the Rider, who's still alive by the way, shoots more bullets out of his fingers at him. Now he's got about a quarter of his hit points left. ]
[ Garou is momentarily disoriented because - holy shit did he just kill someone holy shit he killed someone - but there's no time to unpack all of that when Kumon and Marcy are getting railed.
He lands with a snarl, looking quickly away from the remains of the mask toward the rest of the arena, and the sight of the hostages helps quell some of the unease as he turns toward the other mage, booking it toward him, looking basically like a savage animal.
As he does so, he gets the urge to imbue his chainsaw with some Scarlet because he's feeling frisky. Just before he's within striking distance, he's once again going to crouch low, hoping to get the mage at the legs and avoid a fireball to the face.
[ marceline misses shapeshifting a lot right this second, but she did survive most of the post-mushroom war garbage without any of those powers. she'll survive this too. being pinned by a lizard guy and burned at the same time might be exhausting, but she's not without her own claws.
and by claws i mean fangs, she has fangs and she has not a single qualm in sinking them into the closest lizard flesh, preferably the jugular while she also grabs her sick guitar axe despite its earlier betrayal for a big swing and a fire spell of her own towards the mage. now that she knows which side shoots the fire for sure. sometimes you don't do a proper weapon check.
[1/4 of his... hit points, or whatever he is feeling is a terrible place to be. He's basically flat on his back, between the books and the bullets and he's bleeding and it's awful- and why do people even enjoy this?
In a fit of desperation, he will attack the Rider with his knives... Twice! At least he can stop the Rider from continuing to attack? Hopefully?

[If the roar of the crowd was deafening, it's ground-shaking now - chanting Garou! Garou! Garou! They love him. As he imbues the chainsaw with Scarlet, he'll just feel even more of that violent bloodlust course through him. If he needed any additional incentive to fight his hardest, at his most brutal, he'd find it easily now. But he's already got that kinda under control, right?
He takes another swing at the Mage's legs, getting it pretty deep in there, but the guy doesn't go all the way down this time. He shoots back some of those light streaks at him, ripping into his skin - maybe slowing him down some. Still, the mage looks about half-health now.
Marcy! She shoots fire at the dino. He loves it! He loves it. It smells like delicious dinomeat barbeque in here, and he's writhing and yelling trying to put it out before it burns too badly. It doesn't do him much good, badly crispy by the end of it. He'll take another swing at her, lashing out with his tail to trip her up and send her crashing to the ground, and she's a little banged up from claws and magic lasers, but she's still got a good amount of fight left.
Kumon is turning it around now. The purple spraypaint is hitting him now - doesn't he feel ... creative? If he just turns this way and that, he can fire off two attacks in quick succession - and that he does. The first set of knives plunge their way into the Rider deeply with more thunks, and the last one, though at first it seems the aim is going to be off - he shifts at the last second to try and dodge and someone ends up with it directly in his forehead. And then falls over backwards in a cloud of dust, bleeding his last.
The crowd changes its chants to KU-MON! KU-MON! KU-MON! Sorry Garou. ]
In any case, the added bloodlust does help because otherwise Garou might have been a little weenie about killing another person. Instead, being hit (damn, his pain tolerance got nerfed too, shit hurts) makes him a combination of excited and furious, and he decides that THIS DUDE absoluteLY NEEDS TO die.
He's still fairly low on the ground, so he just redirects the chainsaw, trying to drag it up between the mage's legs through his body. He's going for the nuts.
[ well at least from the crowd chanting she can tell the guys are doing okay, which means she can continue to not care about them! yeah!!! this is how teamwork works!!!!
she's sent crashing to the ground with the tail lash, but she recovers quickly, rolling on the ground and pouncing back up like a wild animal. a wild animal holding a very cool axe, which she is aiming right for dino man's head as she takes a wide swing at him. the whole thanos moment.
[Did he just... kill a guy? With these knives? For Real? He feels even woozier than he did when he got shot, but maybe that's the blood loss beginning to settle in.
Still- still, he has to do something, right? He can't just faint while everybody is fighting to try and get out of this place. They just need to win two rounds and get out of the arena, and they can get back to the healing pods- but what about the people they're killing, they don't have the same luxury.
He wishes they weren't chanting his name.
The knives get summoned back, imbued with amber to try and calm himself down, as he sends them towards the dino-man.
I guess let's start at the beginning. Garou! As he's readjusting the chainsaw in his hands to bring it up to split this guy in half, all the blood from his previous victims makes everything so slippery. The handle of it falls right out of his grip, sending his hand jerking up to ... gently cup the mage's balls. And just stays there. The whole crowd falls silent near instantly. This is so embarrassing. This is so embarrassing he just wants to die. It's so embarrassing that it's actually painful. He can feel his health draining out of him even more for every second he's down here, on the ground, cupping this guys nuts.
At least until the mage magic laser blasts him directly in the face. He'll feel like he's got about half his hit points left (and no eyebrows).
Marcy. It's not a one, I guess. The guitar is heavy and unwieldy and hard to swing while she's got 1000lbs of angry dinoman scrambling over her, and can't manage more than a light BONK on his head, but it's enough to - shockingly - knock him off and to the side, reeling just a bit.
Kumon, buddy. Well, if he's imbuing the knives, he'll find that yeah. He does feel calmer. His breathing will even out, his mind stops racing. What would his big brother do right now? He'd probably have something encouraging to say. He'll be alright. He just has to finish this. Even with a four, it's enough to send the knives one right after the other into the dinoman's side, finishing him off with another angry roar, before he flops to the side. Dead. Tutorial!]

Energy glows around the rider on the ground, and his wounds start to close, leaving him looking much less close to death.

First up: Garou. With the two twenties in a roll, Garou, terrifying, covered in horseblood and wielding a whirring chainsaw, turns towards the mage with the book. Just before she's hit, she tosses the book with all her surprisingly considerable strength right towards Kumon. The chainsaw rips its way into her shoulder and across her body ... bisecting her with another bloody gush. Right before she falls into two piece, she snarls out a 'You binch!' at him. Garou kill count: one horse, one girl.
Marcy! You did good. Good job healing there. You feel so much better. Back to full health! Just in time for the Dinoman to leap onto you and start scratching with his claws all over her body. She'll get a chance to defend herself here, because the mage in the leather cape is ... also firing darts of bright magic right at her, sizzling and burning as they zing over her skin. Ouchie wouchie.
Kumon. Honey.
You get hit with that flung book. It's enormous, and also. Covered in spikes. It hits spine first, sending inches long spikes into his front and gut. It, uh. Hurts. If he were a guessing man, he might feel like he has about half of his ... hit points. Left.
At least until the Rider, who's still alive by the way, shoots more bullets out of his fingers at him. Now he's got about a quarter of his hit points left. ]

He lands with a snarl, looking quickly away from the remains of the mask toward the rest of the arena, and the sight of the hostages helps quell some of the unease as he turns toward the other mage, booking it toward him, looking basically like a savage animal.
As he does so, he gets the urge to imbue his chainsaw with some Scarlet because he's feeling frisky. Just before he's within striking distance, he's once again going to crouch low, hoping to get the mage at the legs and avoid a fireball to the face.

[ marceline misses shapeshifting a lot right this second, but she did survive most of the post-mushroom war garbage without any of those powers. she'll survive this too. being pinned by a lizard guy and burned at the same time might be exhausting, but she's not without her own claws.
and by claws i mean fangs, she has fangs and she has not a single qualm in sinking them into the closest lizard flesh, preferably the jugular while she also grabs her sick guitar axe despite its earlier betrayal for a big swing and a fire spell of her own towards the mage. now that she knows which side shoots the fire for sure. sometimes you don't do a proper weapon check.

He takes another swing at the Mage's legs, getting it pretty deep in there, but the guy doesn't go all the way down this time. He shoots back some of those light streaks at him, ripping into his skin - maybe slowing him down some. Still, the mage looks about half-health now.
Marcy! She shoots fire at the dino. He loves it! He loves it. It smells like delicious dinomeat barbeque in here, and he's writhing and yelling trying to put it out before it burns too badly. It doesn't do him much good, badly crispy by the end of it. He'll take another swing at her, lashing out with his tail to trip her up and send her crashing to the ground, and she's a little banged up from claws and magic lasers, but she's still got a good amount of fight left.
Kumon is turning it around now. The purple spraypaint is hitting him now - doesn't he feel ... creative? If he just turns this way and that, he can fire off two attacks in quick succession - and that he does. The first set of knives plunge their way into the Rider deeply with more thunks, and the last one, though at first it seems the aim is going to be off - he shifts at the last second to try and dodge and someone ends up with it directly in his forehead. And then falls over backwards in a cloud of dust, bleeding his last.
The crowd changes its chants to KU-MON! KU-MON! KU-MON! Sorry Garou. ]

In any case, the added bloodlust does help because otherwise Garou might have been a little weenie about killing another person. Instead, being hit (damn, his pain tolerance got nerfed too, shit hurts) makes him a combination of excited and furious, and he decides that THIS DUDE absoluteLY NEEDS TO die.
He's still fairly low on the ground, so he just redirects the chainsaw, trying to drag it up between the mage's legs through his body. He's going for the nuts.

I guess let's start at the beginning. Garou! As he's readjusting the chainsaw in his hands to bring it up to split this guy in half, all the blood from his previous victims makes everything so slippery. The handle of it falls right out of his grip, sending his hand jerking up to ... gently cup the mage's balls. And just stays there. The whole crowd falls silent near instantly. This is so embarrassing. This is so embarrassing he just wants to die. It's so embarrassing that it's actually painful. He can feel his health draining out of him even more for every second he's down here, on the ground, cupping this guys nuts.
At least until the mage magic laser blasts him directly in the face. He'll feel like he's got about half his hit points left (and no eyebrows).
Marcy. It's not a one, I guess. The guitar is heavy and unwieldy and hard to swing while she's got 1000lbs of angry dinoman scrambling over her, and can't manage more than a light BONK on his head, but it's enough to - shockingly - knock him off and to the side, reeling just a bit.
Kumon, buddy. Well, if he's imbuing the knives, he'll find that yeah. He does feel calmer. His breathing will even out, his mind stops racing. What would his big brother do right now? He'd probably have something encouraging to say. He'll be alright. He just has to finish this. Even with a four, it's enough to send the knives one right after the other into the dinoman's side, finishing him off with another angry roar, before he flops to the side. Dead. Tutorial!]
