[once she goes looking for the jade archway, it will appear before her. stepping through feels like stepping into a soothing landscape painting. the atmosphere goes grey, but rather than the monochrome of other areas, it's the mist of morning fog, still hanging low in the air. her feet touch down onto dirt and grass. she is standing in a quaint country garden. there are tall, dark green trees all around and rolling hills far away, but in the immediate vicinity is a flat, empty area with a few fenced in garden patches. the fenced in area in front looks to be a tidy herb and vegetable garden patch. there's a small shed towards the back of the garden, and gardening tools are scattered about.
in the distance she can see a pond and across the pond, far away, a small cottage with smoke billowing from the chimney. there are a few stone statues scattered about the garden, but after a moment, you notice that one of them in particular is pacing back and forth, talking to the plants. it glances up.]

[she steps through the archway and finds herself in a small apartment. it's one room with a bathroom, though the room itself doesn't appear entirely lived in. there are a few posters on the wall, but they are hard to make out and it seems that there is a clock on the wall by the door. there's a second clock on the wall by the bathroom. both of them appear to be set to different times. there's not much in the way of furniture though she'll immediately see there's a small couch along with a bed, blankets piled high and messy into a person-shaped sort of cavern. the kitchen exists, but it seems mostly empty of anything of note except for one whiteboard that reads: Never think of it as a thought. Think of it as freedom of expression.
against the wall across from the entrance there's a computer desk with a pc on it. there's some sort of music softly playing from it, something with guitars and drums and upbeat. there's a web browser open with a lot of tabs she can't see from her place. there's a nice comfortable gamer chair at the desk, and propped against the wall by the desk is a blue electric guitar. it has clearly never been touched.

Hi, Sunlight. [ squish is already (kinda) floating off in the direction of the aquarium. there it goes... Meteion moves a bit tiredly with droopy wings of dark blue and almost black feathers but, with execution earlier and checking on everyone.. it's been a bit of a long day.

[she can come on through the archway, where shale is watering some flowers. they turn and give her a wave. there's a little more distinctness to their face than last week, it seems. all strange angles and gauntness, a little inhuman but kind.]

[well. meteion has been here recently, so when she comes wandering in through the archway and the first thing she'll notice is something's different. instead of entering right into the room, there's now a hallway. there are now three clocks in various shapes and sizes mounted on the wall of the hall, each displaying a different time. it's a short walk down the hall and it opens up into a main room. it's about the same as their original room albeit slightly bigger and more filled in. there's now a small tv in front of the couch with their sw*tch docked on a table. the bed is still against the wall, but it looks a little more lived in, blankets still balled up and pillows thrown carelessly. the kitchen now has a few things on the counter; there's a tabletop stove, a microwave, and what looks like a thing to instantly boil water in addition to the small fridge and sink that's always been there. the whiteboard is also still there. today, there's a quote: fear is nothing but an illusion, lead your own way...
there's also a list that simply says NOTES, but the section under it seems to have a bunch of question marks under it instead.

the weird thing is that the sky is... strange. it's similar to the black, grey-speckled void place that people on sundays go to. it's like that for a long moment, and then there's a whumpf sound, like something heavy being sucked up, and it flickers back to blue.

[today, when meteion enters the archway, she'll find herself in...a city? actually she ends up in what looks like the center of a city, a large tower looming over her, several stories high and windows on the side, that occasionally fizzles out like it's trying to decide if it wants to light up or not. there are people here, no faces and wearing almost weirdly bright, neon colors walking past her. there's a hint of music playing from somewhere, something upbeat that she can't quite identify, and there are shops along the sidewalk, two streets veering off to the north. there's signs and posters and art that're blurry to her eyes, and over the music she'll occasionally hear the sound of people speaking. their words are muffled, however.
there are crosswalks on the ground, greyish white in color and seemingly petering out in different directions. but as she peers at the tall towering building, signage blinking in and out,, she'll see a staircase to the right. at the top of those stairs is a blue door.
maybe that's where she should go.]

anyways its a good thing she's used to bass's city. cause she really would have been pikagasping in the middle of the street unsure what to do, that and distracted by it all.

[meteion arrives in shale's garden, but it looks a little different now. tall trees have grown up all around it, shading it with their canopy, so that the air is dark and misted green. the little cottage is now stone, older, and seem to come to a steepled point. all throughout the garden, small stones are rising out of the grown like old, worn tombstones.

[ hello. as she walks through, she'll find herself stepping back inside the tatami floored rooms of the endless castle ... but this time, the room is decorated. A bit sparsely, but you know. Stuff. A sword is mounted on the wall, and fresh flowers are in a vase on the low table next to the tea set. Steel isn't in here however.
Most notably however, is the room has an open door now - to let the breeze in. It smells sweet and floral, like spring, and a bit like oncoming rain. The zen garden is less endless and sparse, actual greenery is around the edges now, and in the far distance, what looks like a mountain with a gigantic sakura tree can be seen. It's far away, but sometimes, its petals seem to float all the way here, to this distance place. If she continues outside, she'll find Steel sitting on the porch. ]
