[kumon can find shale inside the archway, puttering around their garden. when they see who it is, though, they set down their gardening tools, and start to walk over.]

Kumon, hi. I'm so glad you came by.

[ His left arm is still in a splint, but it's fine. ]

Hey, Shale... I'm glad to see you too.

[well. shale will wander over and take a look at the arm.]

Did Jiuqing do that up for you? [they seem calm, despite the fussing.] I didn't get a chance to see you after everything that happened.

[9mon]

Yeah, she's a really good doctor.

[ he nods. ]

A lot happened from Thursday until today. Sorry, I wanted to talk to you a little sooner. [ but he fainted, so it took him longer than he would've liked. ]

[saturations]

You don't need to be sorry. I was just worrying about you, that's all.

[just a sweet kid like him caught up in all of this.]

[9mon]

We went... Somewhere in the prism, with demons?

[ It feels insane to talk about this. ]

But at also got this, and I was wondering if you recognized it?

[ He pulls out the hair ornament. ]

Oh hey, would you look at that. That's pretty.

[they don't seem to react to it very strongly, though.]

You found that out in the prism? With demons?

[9mon]

Do you know what kinda flowers these are?

Yeah... I mean, I was apart from the area with demons and in a treasure chest. It just seems important.

[saturations]

Hmm.

[they peer at them a little bit.]

They look a little like morning glories to me? [they nod at that, though.] If they seem important, I'd trust that instinct. Just because I don't recognize it doesn't mean one of the others won't.]

[9mon]

They only bloom for a little while every day, right?

[He will stow it away for later, and nod.]

I'll keep it safe for them until I figure out who it belongs to.

Real ones, anyway.

[these look ornamental.]

Beyond that... is all of this scary for you too?

[they have to think about that question.]

It is. I'm not used to seeing the prism acting like this, and I don't know how to help.

[9mon]

[Honestly he doesn't know what kind of answer would've been better.]

I guess it's a good thing it's not normally like this... But I wish it could calm down.

I think you're helping out with that.

You're thoughtful in the way you treat people, even when you're having a hard time yourself. That's important.

I try to be. Sometimes I don't know what to say. Or where to start.

Being thoughtful isn't the same thing as knowing what to do. It's the act of putting the effort in, treating other people like they matter.

[9mon]

Shouldn't you always treat people like they matter?

Of course you should, but people don't always remember to do it. They get caught up in their own business.

[9mon]

... Yeah... Do you think we could make a memorial for Kazuma and Ryonosuke? If you have some flowers you can spare?

[saturations]

[they'll get up, look over their garden. there are a lot of flowers.]

I like that idea. What kind of flowers are you thinking? Strong opinions?

[9mon]

Maybe... Something red and green? Since those were their colors.

[saturations]

Do you want to take a walk with me and help pick some out?

[9mon]

[He nods!]

[they can take a walk! it's more of an herb and a vegetable garden than a flower garden, but shale will point out a few red flowers. there's some camellia, some yarrow, some geraniums, and chrysanthemums.]
