[nothing about their apartment is from different yesterday, but riff is kind of bumbling around in the kitchen. if she enters, she'll find them climbing up on their counter to try and open their cupboards. if she squints, she may see that they have one too many arms as they're busy grabbing a kettle, some tea, a mug...
...and then turning to face her and waving with their third hand. hey. sup.]
[text cannot really sound hesitant, but it's a vibe. they finally crawl down and begin trying to set their kettle up to boil water and deal with the tea. it's in tea bags. this is what they're doing here.]
[awkward silence it is! because riff sure as hell doesn't know what to say either, so they prepare tea in silence. when the water boils, eventually, they pour it over the bag in a mug before coming back to hand it to her.
they'll also sit on the opposite end of the couch, seemingly waiting.]
...well, I can't say I'm not a little concerned about the note they found. We don't know the source, so we can't know if any of it is true or not... but it's concerning to hear nonetheless.
I don't think they should have been talking about you all the way they were, though...

[here she comes!!
once she passes through the archway, she calls out - ]
Riff...?
no subject
...and then turning to face her and waving with their third hand. hey. sup.]
no subject
she looks surprised! but she waves back.]
Thank you for letting me come over.
no subject

no subject
[she'll wait patiently, then!]
...what kind of tea are you making?
no subject

no subject
[she likes most teas honestly
someone should introduce her to boba]
no subject
i could get smth else but ok
[they concentrate on making the tea. someone should in fact introduce her to boba.]
...the waters gonna take a few to boil
do u want to sit?
no subject
[she'll take a seat then!
hm she doesn't actually know what to say here. awkward.]
no subject
they'll also sit on the opposite end of the couch, seemingly waiting.]
no subject
and then looks down into it, tilting her head to one side at the teabag.]
Are the tea leaves inside of this bag...?
no subject
ya
its a little faster and easier than loose leaf tea
and less of a chance of messing up
no subject
no subject
i dont usually drink it but
its nice to have around when i dont want coffee
no subject
[she has actually not tried coffee yet]
no subject
its more bitter and stronger than tea
but u get used to it
unless u hate the taste
some people do
no subject
no subject
and u can add milk and stuff so its not so bad
no subject
Let's have coffee together next time I have to... [...] ...do the... kitten thing?
[she's not sure how to describe her role.]
no subject

i think i have something u might rly like too
better than coffee
but i gotta look
itll be a surprise
and if not then coffee it is
no subject
[what could it be?
she's excited now.]
no subject
try the tea first and see how it is
if its bad i can always get u something else
no subject
...it tastes a little different than I'm used to, but it's pretty good. Thank you, Riff.
no subject
[that seems to be all they say for a moment, but they take a bit to decide where to go from there.]
...so what do u actually think of what happened today?
no subject
I don't think they should have been talking about you all the way they were, though...
