[she steps through the archway and finds herself in a small apartment. it's one room with a bathroom, though the room itself doesn't appear entirely lived in. there are a few posters on the wall, but they are hard to make out and it seems that there is a clock on the wall by the door. there's a small couch along with a bed piled with blankets. the kitchen exists, but it seems empty of anything of note except for one whiteboard that reads: If you seek someone to love, think of what it means to give up.
the most important thing is that there's a computer desk agains the wall with a pc on it, and probably what looks like the back of riff's head looking at the screen and scrolling through something. they do not seem to notice she's arrived.]

[ Hello.
as she steps through the quartz arch, she will find herself standing in a traditional Japanese-style room - tatami mats on the floor, and sliding paper doors on every side. there are no windows, or even decorations on the walls. it's dim in here, lit only by low candles and shadows crawling out of every corner. it's very, very silent.
No one seems to be around?]

[and when she arrives, well, a few things have changed since yesterday. there's the clock on the wall by the door, but there's now a second clock on the wall by the bathroom. both of them appear to be set to different times. the blankets on the bed are piled high and messy into a person-shaped sort of cavern. there's an empty cup on the counter in the kitchen, and the one whiteboard now reads: Never think of it as a thought. Think of it as freedom of expression.
also there's now a blue electric guitar propped against the wall by the desk. it has clearly never been touched.
more importantly, riff is sitting on their couch and seems to be watching everything going on over the network. they wave upon seeing her though.]

Perhaps a time when the others will find some respect in speaking about the "scrambled" nature of my thoughts.
It's been busy for you, too. Taking care of hurt people. I get it. Thanks for checking in.
Do you want to talk about it?

It is maddening, to be trapped beyond. Perhaps I stay in my home more often than the others, but I would never be so foolish as to trap myself somewhere without a means to leave.
It is not a feeling I enjoy.

[she walks through...
it's... a little different, this time. this time, the area has shifted. when she walks in, it's to a hallway. immediately on her right is a tiny, tiny kitchen, mostly just pressed into an indent against the wall. there's a fridge, some cabinets, a microwave on top of the fridge, and a sink. to the left is what looks like a bathroom. and just past that is an open sliding door that leads into... a bedroom! there's a bed pushed up against the wall, and the same TV cabinet from before, with a bunch of game consoles jammed into it. a bookcase with a bunch of books and manga hangs out near the bed, a comfy chair sits next to that, and those same blurry, colorful posters litter any free space there is. there's a full wall, ceiling to floor window next to the bed that is mostly covered by a curtain. the sun peeks out from behind it.
she also finds herself alone! their room is empty. bass is not here.
she can wander around or wait, but when curfew hits, an archway appears right in the middle of the hallway, and she is pulled forcibly through to the medbay.]

The short blade can be difficult to master, but a useful one.
Perhaps something with more range. As long as you are careful not to injure yourself, of course.
