they're usually things like banquets if it's a celebration of someone's birthday or accomplishments... although we'll have flower-viewing parties and so on as well
it's when you invite people over to your garden to wander around and look at the flowers mainly it's just an excuse for people from noble families to socialize with each other there's usually tea and refreshments too
