I'm thinking about it. I have been thinking about it. Some of you are pushy, and you make some good points. I have a responsibility here, though, too, to keep the people who depend on me safe. I can't go chance some reckless plan if it's going to get someone else hurt.

Well.
Technically the Wildmother.
But I don't specifically mean them, although I would like to protect them as well if I can.
I mean Bass and Riff. And Steel too, I suppose, but she's an adult.

From this place falling apart on them.
Losing more than they've already lost - losing Steel or myself, or losing one another.

We've spent a lot of time putting pieces of ourselves into this place, making it stable, safe, a good place to be.

Trying to escape seems to have the opposite effect. It removes that stability. I think that's what worries me so much. Is there a way to have both? If so, we haven't found it.
