[ well, it's a relief to see bass, at least, so. here comes vax, sneaking a little bit, and then coming up and just swiping a bit of melted ice cream off of the side of his bowl and sticking it into his mouth. ]

[ you could at least warn people when you show up in their houses ]

[he - startles! and then blinks at vax.]

Oh - uh, hey dude. You good? [he is a little distracted]

[fretbro]

Yeah, no, I'm good, but uh. [looks at... the leaking wall.]

[daggering]

...Right, yeah. The holes.

[ sometimes you are just already getting used to Holes ] Guess your place's not really immune to it, either...

[fretbro]

Yeah, I didn't... think it'd get in here.

[he sounds very worried.] I have a lot more control over this place than the other parts, but if it's in here, I guess I just...

I don't know. None of you guys are very worried about them so I guess I shouldn't be either?

[daggering]

[ well. that's concerning. vax frowns, folding his arms and looking up to regard the hole, also. ]

Did it just pop up today? Or when the Heliotrope one happened?

Today. [he shifts his weight.]

Well, something's changing if that's the case.

[ hm. ]

Oh. Before I forget - that reminds me. Put your bowl down for a second.

[fretbro]

Oh. Okay, sure, yeah.

[puts the bowl down, glancing at vax.] What?

he's getting a hug! it's a big, warm, nice vax hug.

and after a moment: ] 's from Metie.

well, that kicks his ass a little, but. he hugs back, warm and just a little clingy. hides his face against vax's shirt.]

[ that's okay. with everything happening, a little ass kicking emotionally probably isn't that bad. hugs definitely aren't, though.

vax wraps his arms around him proper and lets him cling as he wants, returning the hug strong and warm. he's not tiny like meteion or anything, but. ]

Course. [ and with a last squeeze, he pulls back a little and ruffles his hair. ] Second one's from me, though.

[that's okay, sometimes a strong bear hug that squeezes the sad out of you is what you need.

he mutters a little thanks again, rubbing at his eyes, and then:]

I kinda don't know what to do with myself this week. Everything feels shivery.

[daggering]

Shivery's a good word.

[ everything's just shaky and gray and gross and falling apart. it's fine. ]

Feels like something big's started, huh? Like the start of a big storm.
