no just kidding he'll very casually amble over to the jade archway to his favorite statue person. ]

Hello, Shale. Are you doing well?

[once malik goes looking for the jade archway, it will appear before him. stepping through feels like stepping into a soothing landscape painting. the atmosphere goes grey, but rather than the monochrome of other areas, it's the mist of morning fog, still hanging low in the air. his feet touch down onto dirt and grass. he is standing in a quaint country garden. there are tall, dark green trees all around and rolling hills far away, but in the immediate vicinity is a flat, empty area with a few fenced in garden patches. the fenced in area in front of you looks to be a tidy herb and vegetable garden patch. there's a small shed towards the back of the garden, and gardening tools are scattered about.

in the distance he can see a pond and across the pond, far away, a small cottage with smoke billowing from the chimney. there are a few stone statues scattered about the garden, but after a moment, you notice that one of them in particular is waving, standing near a table with a tea pot and some cups.]

I'm doing alright. Come on in.

w2, sunday

[shale is puttering around the garden when malik appears, watering some newly growing flowers. they turn when the archway opens.]

Hi, Malik. Tea?

[ he is walking with purpose. that determined, angry stride, at least until he gets reasonably close to shale, where he stops dead in his tracks. ]

No, I don't. I want to know how to get out. Is it killing? Can I go back if I kill someone too?

unfortunately for malik, shale summons a teapot and starts making some tea. he can smell a nice calming herbal blend beginning to steep.]

Okay, that's a lot. Wow.

I can't take it anymore, I hate it here! I hate everyone here!

[ while they do that he starts angrily pacing back and forth. ]

[they watch as he starts pacing and set out the pot to steep.]

Why don't you tell me about what's going on?

[oh no. when malik arrives, the garden is empty, but then shale opens the cottage door and comes over.]

Did something happen?

[ He raided the infinity closet before he high tailed it over, so he's wearing one of those slouch beanies, but it's still not enough. he is very upset. ]

I HATE THIS PLACE. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?!

[ people have literally been murdered but this is the most distressed he's been since w0. his 90's anime mullet............. gone. ]

Malik. It really has been. How are you?

A little bored, but that's to be expected I suppose. I'm not so sure I can be "good" or "bad" here.

Death is supposed to be transformative. That's what I was taught at least. We'll see. There's a lot of things I've been taught that haven't held true.

[no more archways! y'all blew up his realm. instead, after trial, you can probably find him...in the medbay clover field, sitting in one of the chairs, doing that grandpa thing of being asleep and then waking with a start when someone comes in and pretending they aren't sleeping.]

I know. [he laughs a little and smiles at him. quietly weary, but very fond.] I heard a lot about that today. And it's true, and it's fair, but I'm not exactly sure what else to do with myself right this moment.
