Has it been harder to communicate with the prism since we arrived, or is it maybe just... confused... now that there are so many of us to listen to? I'm sure there must be a lot of different things we all want.
Nah, I don't think it's that it's harder - I think the second option is more it, y'know? There's a lot of people now.
... It's been the four of us for a long time. So now it's gotta listen to a bunch of people and I think it maybe got confused or panicked and just spat out stuff.
Shale says it doesn't really work like that, but it's more reassuring if I think about the prism like that.
It makes sense in theory, even if that's not exactly the way it works! I know it's hard for me to focus on what's being said when a lot of people are talking all at once.
It can be really comforting, y'know? [the dog starts to... melt, sort of. they're very comfortable, apparently, and it's harder to keep form like this.]
It's a nice presence to have. Always there, always looking out for us.
If it's used to just the four of you, so many of us must be quite the adjustment... with you four and all of us, that's somewhere around forty people here now, isn't it?
To suddenly be dealing with ten times as many people as usual in such a short time... I'd be overwhelmed too.
