as she steps through the quartz arch, she will find herself standing in a traditional Japanese-style room - tatami mats on the floor, and sliding paper doors on every side. there are no windows, or even decorations on the walls. it's dim in here, lit only by low candles and shadows crawling out of every corner. it's very, very silent.
After she says something, the candles all flicker, and the silence is broken by the sound of ... slithering scales for a moment, and then one of the doors in front of Marie opens, seemingly by itself.]
It isn't haunted. There are no ghosts.
[This is rich when their voice is apparently totally sourceless.]
through the open door there's another room, much like the first - empty, shadowy, candlelit. but this time there's a low table in the middle and a seat next to it. is this what hospitality is?]
That includes myself. I do not believe even if I were to find myself deceased that I would leave behind a spirit.
[ She blinks, looking around the room she appears evidently confused. Walking closer to the seat and stepping out of her shoes before kneeling down to sit. ]
I see... [ Maybe she shouldn't be happy to hear that? But anyway. ] But how are you? Have you been busy with... everything that is going on?
So you had a human form before and just... lost it?
[ Her cants her head, confused. ]
Eito-san, you said that there's a possibility that the creatures came from us, correct? Or at least our sudden appearance bringing... "imbalance", I was curious if that by fighting them is the only way we can really hope to helping fix that.
I had a form. Forms, perhaps. I ... can't exactly place what it was, exactly.
[ basically a shrug. ]
Fighting them is the most effective way of getting rid of them. The others might suggest differently, but to me it's always seemed as if they simply do not have the stomach for what needs to be done.
Meaning ... I would say so. The colors within you are what the Prism has seen, and chooses to reflect. Each one represents a part of you, or your emotions, and how it chooses to interpret those things. They change in some. Not in others. That depends on you entirely.
Things so rarely are. It would be easier, if things did stay the same more often.
How you feel, how you act, what you are doing while within the Prism, those are things that can affect the colors you produce. Perhaps you came here with anger in you, and over time, you find yourself no longer concerned with what has come before. Something such as that.
[ She blinks, and then suddenly her lips curl into a frown. ]
And it's safe to assume that if there's a piece of you that will always be angry... it will stay the right, correct? Even if it may not show itself? Even if it seems like an entirely different part of you?
. . . I have studied it for a long time, but still I would not presume to know everything there is about the Prism. I have long sought to maintain myself in exactly the same way. I do not wish for change. Even so, I find myself changing.
In fact it's difficult to even say it was me, and the only reason for that is because someone had completely wiped my memory. That trauma the person I was before and their entire life was gone until recently. Very recently.
[ She remembers Damien and what he had told her; she had threatened him. ]
I think with me regaining these memories that this person has become present.
[ They consider this, or at least. as much as an empty room can consider. but their tone is steady and even - someone who's nature is strict, but attempting some comfort, if only for the steadiness of the tone.]
And this person ... you fear this place will draw more of them out?

No one seems to be around?]

U-Um… [ She’s inching further into the room, one hand reaching out into the darkness. ] Eito-san? Are you here?
I-I’m not very good with haunted houses, so say something? Please? I will cry.

She jumps when she hears the sound, taking a few more steps forward and passing through the door that opens. ]
That includes you, right?

[ that's a word for it. ]
There are a great many of you, and you all seem to want for many things. Questions. This is not something we have had to deal with before.
no subject
I'm sure at the top of the list is probably soap and shampoo...
[ Anyway -- ]
Would you like to ask me any questions? To change the pace a little, maybe it can help you relax?
no subject
[ what does THAT mean, steel. ]
You can ask what you wish. I suppose it is what we are supposed to be here for. Shale has suggested I be more ... helpful.

So you had a human form before and just... lost it?

[ She doesn't really have a place to focus, her gaze just fixes on the table. ]
Though I'm also curious of your memories -- ... or, rather, the lack thereof. Is that also due to us being brought here?
no subject
[ what else are you guys doing right now? kissing each other on the mouths? ]
I do believe it has to do with your arrival. It is simply the way this place works.
no subject
I see. [ She sighs. ] I also wanted to ask about our colors... is there a significant meaning behind them? Is it possible for it to change?
no subject
Meaning ... I would say so. The colors within you are what the Prism has seen, and chooses to reflect. Each one represents a part of you, or your emotions, and how it chooses to interpret those things. They change in some. Not in others. That depends on you entirely.

So it should be noted that they're not permanent -- I see.
Can you elaborate what you mean on it depending on us?

This conversation will stay between the two of us, correct?

While I understand her anger and I’m sympathetic of what she went through… I know she would hurt the people here.
no subject
[ They do sound understanding, at least.]
Do you know of any way to combat this other person? Have you faced her before?
