[through the archway she goes! right into a little apartment. it's a cozy place, a studio, with one bathroom and a small kitchen. clothes lay scattered all across the floor, in the type of way that they might when someone is too lazy to fold the stuff they're taking off. there are posters on the wall, though they're fuzzy and out of focus, and there's a tv and couch in the middle of the room. it's nice and warm in here.
there's color here, too, which might be important to note. the walls are white, but the posters are bright and eyecatching, and the various decorations across the room are rainbow in nature.
in the little kitchen, there's... a blob! a pixelated blob. it is small, about the size of a hedgehog, and is half hanging out of a cabinet, like it's trying to climb up into it. wassup.]
[ Thank you god it's nothing like Eito's scary ass room, but at the same time why does it seem so vacant?
Marie enters the apartment and just... looks at all the scattered clothes in disappointment. She would start picking it up and folding them herself if she wasn't focused on finding... la creature. ]
Um, excuse me? Is anyone home?
[ And to the kitchen she goes! To see the little blob! She blinks twice before she carefully moves over to help it into the cabinet??? ]
the blob wiggles itself into the cabinet with her help, and there's silence for just a moment before it pokes back out, seeming like it's looking at her. seeming, because it doesn't appear to have any facial features.]
Hey! Sup. [it waves a little stubby arm.] Thanks for the assist!
[and they just roll out of the cabinet and splat to the ground. THEY'RE DEAD.
no, they're alive, and they're slowly forming themselves into a marie-shaped humanoid form! with too long limbs, yellow static, and no facial features. horrifying.]
Anyway, I spoke with Steel yesterday and they spoke about not having a form similar to ours [ She gestures to herself, placing a hand above her chest. ] for some time… are you the same?
Well... when you tell us that you've had forms before this one, it's a little worrying? It makes some of us wonder what exactly happened for you to lose them...
Still, wouldn’t you like at least your memories back?
The company of others is fine, but… I’m familiar what it’s like to having something erased and then given back to you. It’s overwhelming, as if you were drowning.

[ WHY IS IT LIKE THIS?!?!?!?! ]
You looked as if you were struggling a bit -- should we build you a little staircase so you're not having to climb up here?
no subject
What? Oh, haha. No, I can -- here.
[and they just roll out of the cabinet and splat to the ground. THEY'RE DEAD.

... Forgive me if this sounds rude, but this is actually quite horrifying to look at.

well, they sort of wilt a bit at that, but. it's fine. they rub at the back of their head (?)]
I get that a lot, actually.
no subject
Also, are all the clothes on the floor yours? [ She gestures to them. ] You need to do better about cleaning after yourself.
no subject
But I know where all of my clothes are this way.

You wouldn’t know if they were in your closet?

I think so. I've been like this as long as I can remember. You guys are all really concerned about us not looking the way you do, aren't you?
no subject
no subject
I don't think you guys have anything to worry about. The prism's not a bodysnatcher or anything.
no subject
That's relieving news, at least.
Can the same be said about memories?
no subject
I didn't think I was missing anything until you guys got here, so I don't know.
no subject
[ DAMN ]
I know it wasn't our fault, but I still feel sorry that it must be an inconvenience for you all.
no subject
This is new. I kinda like it, having a bunch of new people to talk to.

I'm okay like this. I don't really need them back. [they just skip past the last part. sounds awful!]
no subject
[ Ahem. ]
So, I'm curious, do you often take the shape of whoever you're talking to?
no subject
What? Oh. Shit. [they shiver, and then start to change shape, trying to smooth out the edges.] Sorry, some people have told me that's weird.
I don't do it on purpose!
no subject
It's fine, it's fine. I was only wondering if that was what made you most comfortable.
